Greetings Happy Time Squares Members and Friends-
It may have been cold and blustery outside Saturday evening, but 74 happy dancers were warm and cozy inside a smiley faced decorated hall for the HTS Super Seventh Anniversary Dance. Vic kept us so busy dancing to his up-beat tips that we barely noticed the flakes flying outside. Between squares we round danced and line danced to the wonderful direction of Vernon Nelson and Judy Broers. We even danced to a tip called by Sam Hunsaker.
It was also an evening of many cakes. Jim Boehle provided a cake on his theme board, there were some tiny decorated cup cakes, and the children and grandchildren of Dave & Barbara Neff surprised them and all of us with a cake celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Congratulations once again Dave & Barbara.
Your 2013 HTS Board Members were the set-up, decorating, refreshment table and clean-up crew along with the help of a number of very dedicated members for this dance. Thanks to all of you for the great job you did creating a very fun and welcoming environment for our members and guests.
The guest list included folks from Friendship Rounds, Kuntrie Kuzins, Ottawa Promenaders, Swingin' Singles, Swinging Squares, TNT, Riverbend Promenaders (who retrieved their banner) and even a guest from Beaus and Belles of St. Cloud, MN!
Our next dance is the Sweethearts and Roses Dance on February 9th. We look forward to kicking up our heels with all of you next month!
