Greetings Happy Time Squares Members-
What a fantastic dance! Our Red, White and Blue Dance was a great evening with wonderful tips called by Vic, but we also enjoyed a tip shared by Wade Morrow and Lynn Nelson as well as another shared by Sam Hunsaker and Lydia Morrow. Yes - you heard me right - Lydia Morrow (she did a GREAT job)! Judy introduced us to a new line dance and a favorite old one to a new song that was a lot of fun. Julie kept our round dancers busy smiling and twirling with some great rounds.
Alice DeMoss and the folks on her team provided us with some very colorful decorations and kept our food table in fine shape. There were some very tasty treats on that table. Did you folks get to try some of that stuff? Yum!
Our Douglas County Fair Demo is coming up in a couple of weeks in our usual area in front of Building 21. We'll be dressing casual this year as it's usually a 'bit' warm and we want everyone to be comfortable. Reserve the evening of Thursday, August 1st on your calendars and stay tuned for more information regarding the exact time and meeting location.
We have plenty of tickets available for sale to our Boots, Bows and Barbeque (August 24th). We all know plenty of people - friends, neighbors, co-workers, family, etc. - who would thoroughly enjoy the delicious food and talented entertainment provided by our club caller Vic and cuers Judy and Julie. Invite them! Call us if you need tickets to sell - we'll be happy to get some to you!
Our next dance will be our Hillbilly Hoedown on August 10th and will be a casual dance. Dress in your best comfy clothes or Hillbilly duds and have a great time!
